Five For Friday!

Wow!  It's been a while since I did a Five for Friday post...but I'm back!
I'm linking up with Doodle Bugs Teaching for Five for Friday today...so here we go!

So...technically this was LAST week, but  who is being picky!  We were at Disney last week and had tons of fun!  It was so hard to believe that it was cooler in Orlando Florida than it was at home in NC last week!  Exact opposite of what we were planning for, but that was a pleasant surprise :)
I of course, have tons more pictures I could share with you..but I'll move on!

Came home on Saturday and after dinner all 3 of us headed out to the garden to check on what had grown while we were in Florida.  Boy, oh, boy did we have some veggies!  My mom made 7 or 8 loaves of zucchini bread with just ONE of the big zucchinis we picked.  My dad took the others to work to share the love a little!  It happens like this every year...the garden starts to flourish and we go on vacation.

So came home from vacation and mom had a revision to her latest knee replacement surgery Tuesday morning.  The doctor ended up replacing it again.  Surgery was quicker than we expected which was a nice surprise and she came home yesterday and is doing pretty good so far.  But..all that time sitting at the hospital this week allowed me some good quality time to get stuff made for my classroom.  Now my desktop looks like this:

Too many things to print and moved over to my flash drive..that's for sure!

My new Comprehension Gang and Decoding Bunch were added to my TPT store yesterday for $2 each or $3.75 if you buy both!  Daily 5 posters were added earlier in the week for FREE!

Went out to the garden Wednesday morning again to check on things and our neighbor's cat, Cody, followed me from the house to the garden to "help" me!  What help he was!

Lastly...I've decided to become a Jamberry Consultant! I have joined the Jamberry Nails family!  I'm so excited about this new adventure!

I'm hosting a Launch Party online that will be open through July 11th.  Click THIS link to head over, shop around, and BUY some nails!!

Happy Friday y'all!

My first Monday Made It!

I'm linking up with 4th Grade Frolics for my first Monday Made It!  I've been out of the blogging world for a couple weeks with the final days of school and then we were vacationing at Disney last week!  Going back to school before I know with, with teacher workdays starting on July 21st and kids coming back on the 28th, so I had to get started on new stuff for my room!

I only have one made-it for today - new Daily 5 posters!  Decided I wanted to go for a new look this year and since I was moving my Daily 5 posters anyway, perfect time to make new posters!  I posted on Instagram earlier as I was printing and had someone ask me to add them to my TPT shop - ask and ye shall receive!

The best part - they are FREE!  Head over to my TPT store to download some new Daily 5 posters for your classroom!

Five For Friday & The Last Week of School!

It's Friday and it's the last day of school for the kiddos!  They are out of here at 11:30 to start their 7 week summer track-out!  Mine will start after our staff luncheon on Tuesday!  I'm linking up with Doodle Bugs Teaching for Five for Friday!

In the final days of school...it's the important things that count!

Non-school related one here!  I bought a new Cricut Explore back in March to replace my Cricut E2 because I was obsessed with the idea of being able to cut pictures and fonts already on my computer!  So excited this week when I tried and had great success monogramming a pair of athletic shorts!  I immediately ordered more heat transfer vinyl to monogram all of my athletic shorts!  Can't wait for it to get here!!

Well, Wednesday was our End of Year Celebration Day.  We were supposed to go roller skating and all 130+ students and parents area waiting in the parking lot only to find out they had us on the calendar for Thursday and couldn't staff us for Wednesday.  Talk about a big bummer!  Luckily, our Chick-fil-A we work with for our monthly hot lunch order was able to get us some lunches ready on short notice, we had a parent go pick them up, and most all of us headed further into Raleigh to Pullen Park for some end of year fun.  No, it wasn't what we expected to do, but it turned out great!  My and my bestie enjoyed some sun and a little heat at the park while the kiddos and parents had fun!

Well, the end of the year brings another round of gift-receiving!  My kiddos this year sure know me!  Can't wait to use this gift card when we head to Disney in just 8 days!!!

I was also able to score the hard-to-get Anna and Elsa fast passes for our trip since their greeting hours were extended.  The 5 year old inside of me was down right giddy!

After our EOY celebration, most of the kids don't come back to school.  I had only 7 kids come Thursday and I was really able to get some work done in my classroom.  I usually always take everything down and start over each year, but this year I'm happy with where some things are, so I'm trying to leave stuff in place as well as think ahead and get posters and such moved to their new locations!  Mark this down, because this is the first time this has happened...I have a bulletin board done before going home for summer!  I just hope I'm still happy with how it turned out when I come back in July!

I'll leave you with a cute picture from last week that we took with our new shades!  I tell you, these kids are future FBI agents!  This was part of our 10 Day Countdown and I was able to get the sunglasses on amazon for pretty cheap!
